Spantech’s Year round potato storage solution for McCain Foods
Spantech developed the Spantech potato stores specifically to suit the demanding quality and operational requirements of McCain Foods.
On average, Spantech has constructed at least one new store for McCain Foods every year since 1997. The stores are located on the North and South Islands of New Zealand, and across the ditch in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
The largest of these facilities is at Timaru on the South Island of New Zealand.
McCain’s Timaru Potato Processing Plant boasts ten Spantech potato stores with a total storage capacity of over fifty thousand tonne.
This ensures the Timaru plant has enough stored potatoes to keep the plant operational year round.
