A master planned school exploiting the full benefits of the Spantech Longreach roofing system
Catherine McAuley Catholic College is a green-field master planned college located at Medowie, near Newcastle, NSW.
Webber Architects nominated Spantech to manufacture and supply the Longreach 800 roofing system for several large buildings and classroom blocks in both Stage 1 and 2 of the new school. The design includes wide unsupported cantilever eaves and long spans to minimal structural steel.
The school is being built in several stages, and when completed in 2027 the College will cater for 1,355 students and 125 staff.
