Saint Joseph’s Catholic College

Innovation, creativity and focus on relationships

Saint Joseph’s College is situated on 16.76 hectares in Coomera, Southeast Queensland.

The College is being built in several stages.  In Jan 2019 the school opened Stage 1 with 247 students in Prep and Years 1, 2 3 and 7.  Year levels and additional classes will be added progressively with the school ultimately expecting to cater for more than 1,800 students.

Principal Paul Begg says new students should “expect innovation, expect creativity. Expect a place where we focus on relationships”.

These are the same key values that Spantech brings to every project.

The Spantech Longreach 800 profile was nominated by Macksey Rush Architects for three prominent buildings on the site:

  • The Administration and Resource Centre Building, and

  • Two PE Covered Areas, each housing a full-sized basketball court.

A perforated aluminium version of the Longreach profile was also used as a feature ceiling above the stairwell and circulation zones in the Administration Block.
